Life and relationships are like hanging on the monkey bars, also know as the jungle gym (name seems appropriate).
If you’re not moving, you’re losing the momentum to keep moving. The longer you stop, the harder it is to get moving again. And the scarier. But not impossible.
And sometimes you fall.
It’s okay to fall.
Dust yourself off.
Learn from the fall.
Try again with the fear still in you.
Or the frustration.
Or whatever will push you forward the next time.
And makes you stronger.
So you can have more hang time if you do need to stop again.
But if you just sit in a pile on the ground, you neither have the past, the present or the future. You just have the mud your tears are creating.
It’s the getting up again that matters.
