The wonderful thing about calendars, ends of weeks, months and especially years, is that it gives us a more tangible frame. A frame to leave behind things that perhaps were not what we had hoped, and a launching pad to start fresh today and this year. Not with “resolutions” that are usually just fluff and blow away within a week or two. Let’s start this year by digging deep for what you really want. Then we can work backwards to see how to get there.
And let’s start this year with the plan to be kinder. Not only to others but kinder to ourselves. Let this be the year that you accept yourself, as you are. That does not mean you give up or never change anything, it means that your value is not in what you do but who you are. Today. Right Now. And starting from that fullness of value, then you can choose where to go.
With that in mind, I will continue to wish you (and me) the acceptance and belief that we are “Enough.” In my research for encouraging information to move us toward that goal, I came across this from Bob Perks. Enjoy this as my gift to you for this new year:
This would be a great choice for your motto for the year. And a way to look at your life to help you enjoy this next year more than any in the past. This is apparently the writer of the “I wish you enough” story. It’s beautiful.
And of course, for this next year: I wish you enough!
Enjoy this video, appropriately enough, called “I wish you enough”
Oh! And Happy New Year!!
