Be careful what you ask for.
I wanted a relationship where I could prove how valuable I was as a person by doing things for them. Then maybe I would be good enough.
I got a relationship where I only had value according to what I did.
And it was never enough. Not good enough, fast enough, smart enough, attractive enough. But I did do almost everything for him.
I was never good enough to be loved, though. I was still never enough.
He couldn’t and wouldn’t make me feel I was enough.
Only I could give me that gift.
Wish I’d started there.
Wish I’d started sooner.
